ABOUT US

The Woodseats Festival was founded in 2006. Organised by a small community group, run by volunteers that live in the local area. We do what we do for the love of Woodseats and thoroughly enjoy bringing the Woodseats Festival to you each summer!

Woodseats Festival events are free to enter.

The founders saw it as an opportunity to bring this amazing community together once or twice a year to work with each other in a way that helped everyone be involved, from the schools, local businesses, independent small business owners, crafters and of course the local families that cherish the time that they spent in the area.

Woodseats has always been bustling with shops, from hair dressers, estate agents, charity shops, coffee shops and much much more, least not forgetting Woodseats Primary School.

Fast forward to 2023 and for over 17 years, this festival has bought everyone together, and with your help and community spirit this is something we will be able to do for a many more years to come. The festival is going from strength to strength with more events added as each year passes . Check out the "what's on " section to see what we have planned for 2024.

We rely heavily on the the local community and shops for support and donations of raffle prizes, as well as financial donations and sponsorship. We are truly appreciative of the help that we get. We could simply not run the event without this. The local Media, such as Active8 Magazine also play a huge role, Not forgetting the lovely members of general public that attend our events and of course our fabulous stall holders that make our family fun day one not to miss each year.

We are lucky enough to be able to host events across different venues. We are very grateful to all of those businesses and organisations that are willing to let us use theirs spaces and join in . In 2023 we we brought you events from various locations such as The Library, Explorers Scout Hut, Woodseats Community Garden, The Abbey Pub, Woodseats Methodist Church and of course Woodseats Primary School.

As well as raising money to fund our next event , we also choose a charity to support each year. In 2023 during some of our events on Saturday 8th July and at our family fun day on Sunday 9th we raised money via bucket collection for Young Lives V's Cancer. If you would like to donate , you can via the collection buckets we will have at our Woodseats Festival Christmas Fair at Woodseats Methodist church on the 18th November.
